As the sun sets a little earlier each evening and the days start to cool off, our family feels the shift that signals the end of summer. The once seemingly endless days of freedom are winding down, and the kids are starting to get a bit stir-crazy waiting for school to start again. But this time of year is always a mix of excitement and chaos in our house, as we get ready for the new school year and wrap up our summer activities.

School Supplies Frenzy

You know that feeling when you’re down to the last few weeks of summer, and the kids are bouncing off the walls? That’s us right now. Kaydence, Harmony, Odin, Villi, and Ivaldi are all itching to see their friends and dive into new school adventures. This means it’s time for our annual back-to-school shopping spree. We hit the stores with a mission: colorful notebooks, the coolest pens, and the perfect backpacks. There’s something so satisfying about ticking off items on those supply lists, even if it does get a bit chaotic with everyone wanting to choose their own stuff.

Kaydence's Volleyball Journey

Kaydence is wrapping up her volleyball tryouts and couldn’t be more excited. She’s been practicing her serves and spikes all summer, and seeing her dedication pay off is such a proud moment for us. Her first practices are right around the corner, and she’s already buzzing with energy, talking about her new teammates and the upcoming games.

Odin, Villi, and Ivaldi: Baseball to Soccer Switch

Meanwhile, Odin, Villi, and Ivaldi are wrapping up their baseball season. They’ve had a blast hitting home runs and making amazing catches, but now they’re shifting gears to soccer. The transition is always a bit hectic, with cleats and shin guards replacing baseball gloves and bats. Watching them juggle between the sports is a whirlwind, but their enthusiasm is contagious. They can’t wait to get back on the soccer field and kick off the new season.

Harmony’s Softball Success and Swim Club Prep

Harmony just finished an incredible softball season. She has so much fun on and off the field, and her team’s end-of-season party was full of laughter and celebration. But there’s no downtime for her—swim club is ramping back up, and she’s diving right in. Literally. Harmony’s love for swimming shines through in every practice, and we’re all looking forward to seeing her compete again.
