I’m a full-time working mom of five who knows what it feels like to carry the mental load for everything.
For years, I thought being a “good mom” meant:

Here are my 3 biggest recommendations:
1. Start with ONE boundary.
Not ten. Not a whole household overhaul.
Pick one recurring stress point:
- bedtime
- snacks
- screens
- leaving the house
- repeating yourself
…and practice consistency there first.
2. Repetition is normal.
Your kids are not “failing” because they test the boundary.
They’re learning:
- whether you mean it
- whether the rule stays the same
- whether the limit is safe and predictable
Calm repetition builds trust.
3. You do not need to sound perfect.
You will still get frustrated sometimes.
The goal is not:
❌ never getting overwhelmed
The goal is:
